In 1985, Rupert Neve designed a mic preamp for Sir George Martin. That circuit became the foundation for every ISA product made ever since. From the Forte console to today’s standalone preamps and the ISA C8X audio interface, the same Lundahl LL1538 transformer and design philosophy runs through it all.
